Alexandra Knight, who recently ended a year as a Rotary Youth Exchange student in Chile, will discuss her experiences in a talk to a meeting of the Westport Rotary Club at noon Tuesday at the Inn at Longshore.
Knight, a Norwalk resident, was sponsored for the exchange program by the Westport Rotary.
Guests are welcome at Rotary meetings, which take place weekly at noon Tuesdays. There is a fee of $20 per person for lunch. For more information about Rotary, contact Dave Matlow, the club's membership chairman, at 203-227-3090, or visit the club's website, www.westportrotary.org.
The Westport Rotary Club supports local and international philanthropic projects. In the past, the club has been able to give to more than 35 not-for-profit causes up to $50,000 annually, supporting scholarships for Staples High School students and donating money for international projects that help bring clean water and improve literacy for people in need around the world. This year, Rotary has joined forces with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to continue its goal of eradicating polio worldwide.
