Wreckers Coach Laddie Lawrence said, "We did well because this team has a great group of returning athletes who have trained hard for the championship season. As a result they scored several first places and backed that up with some good depth in several events."
The championship season is here and Staples hopes to excel in the upcoming meets.
"With several weeks remaining in the season, we hope to be very competitive in all of the remaining championship meets: FCIAC, Class LL State Open, New Englands and Nationals," Lawrence said.
