Wednesday's high school top performers
Sean Bonaparte, Ansonia baseball: Pitched a complete game, two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts and no walks in an 11-0 win over Sacred Heart.
Quincy Cayton, Stratford girls lacrosse: Scored five goals in a 12-6 win over Bunnell.
Devin Cipriani, Platt Tech softball: Went 3-for-4, including the game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh, in a 4-3 win over Wolcott Tech.
Pat Cragan, Oxford boys volleyball: Had 15 assists, four kills and 14 service points in a 3-0 win over Amity.
Raeanne Geffert and Katie Petroski, Seymour softball: Geffert pitched a complete game, one-hitter with 15 strikeouts and also had three hits and Petroski had three hits, including a home run, and five RBIs in a 17-0 (6 inn.) win over Derb.
Danielle Gray, Law softball: Hit for the cycle and had eight RBIs in a 21-3 (5 inn.) win over Hillhouse.
Ashley Guillette, Oxford softball: Pitched a perfect game with 18 strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Brookfield.
Craig Hessenius, ND-Fairfield boys lacrosse: Had six goals and one assist in a 14-4 win over Rocky Hill.
Neil McCarter, Masuk boys volleyball: Had 13 kills and 10 digs in a 3-2 win over Shelton.
