The Staples girls water polo team continues to improve.

After grabbing its first win in the program's history on Wednesday, Staples hosted a formidable Choate Rosemary Hall the falling day. Although the Lady Wreckers lost 15-12 in dropping to 1-1, they showed that they have made giant strides from previous years.

Senior tri-captain Stephanie Nussbaum led Staples with five goals and fellow senior tri-captain Maddie Mafilios, junior Emily Greene and sophomore Sarah Cooperman had two goals each. Sophomore Molly Rubidge had the Lady Wreckers' other tally.

Sophomotr Emily Garber, senior Margot Bruce and sophomore Allegra Chaple took turns playing goalie for Staples.
