Marc Papini, a special education teacher at Western Middle School, and Jodi Janda, a physical therapist who works at Greenwich High, North Street, Parkway, New Lebanon and Glenville schools have received the PTA Council’s 2010 Special Education Services award. The accolade recognizes school-system employees who have shown “integrity, vision, leadership and advocacy in the service of students with special needs,” according to the PTAC special education services committee. Parents nominate school employees for the honor, and applications are reviewed and voted on by SES committee representatives, according to the committee.
