An expert on autism will give an overview of the disorder at the next meeting of the Y's Women on Monday at the Unitarian Church on Lyons Plain.

The program will begin with coffee at 11 a.m., following by the presentation at 11:30. Stephanie A. Contrucci Kuhn, co-director of the Behavioral Psychology Program at the Westchester Institute for Human Development, will give the presentation "Autism: An Overview of the Disorder -- What We Know and A Look Forward." A question and answer session will follow.

Kuhn is co-leader of an interdisciplinary team and supervises the assessment and treatment of severe behavior problems in children with developmental disabilities. She is a licensed psychologist and board-certified behavior analyst and is on the board of editors of the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis.

The Y's Women has more than 450 members in more than 20 communities.

Meetings are for members only; but membership chair Ann Lloyd will be on hand at the Monday meeting to enroll new members.

More information about the organization is available at www.yswomen.org or by calling Barbara Rogan, the group's president, at 203-226-0858.
