Road work may cause traffic delays near Town Hall

Work to repair a storm drainage pipe could lead to traffic delays near Town Hall, public works officials warn.

The work on Field Point Road where it intersects with Brookside Drive will begin Tuesday evening at 5:30 p.m. The work will go around the clock and could last as long as one week, the Board of Selectmen was told last month. A storm drainage pipe will be repaired and other sewer work will be done.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area by using Arch Street and West Putnam Avenue.
