BRIDGEPORT -- A homeless man allegedly turned a grudge into a street confrontation Saturday morning, when he threatened an acquaintance with a large kitchen knife at the corner of Stratford Avenue and Newfield Avenue.

Police arrested Jachim Brown, 19, whose last known address was George Street, and charged him with carrying a dangerous weapon, threatening and breach of peace charges after he allegedly used the weapon to threaten another man.

The arrest occurred at about 9:30 a.m. In addition to a knife with a foot-long blade, police also found a smaller kitchen-style knife on Brown, who was held on $1,000 bond with a court date scheduled for Monday.
