The New Milford Spirit Shoppe will sponsor a fall wine tasting to benefit New Milford Hospital's Mammogram Fund Oct. 30 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The tasting, which will feature more than 100 wines and specialty beers, will be held at Candlewood Valley Country Club at 401 Danbury Road (Route 7 South).

John NeJaime, owner of The New Milford Spirit Shoppe, has hosted the event on a semiannual basis for the past 10 years. It has generated more than $30,000 to help women in need receive a free mammogram through the hospital's program.

Patrons will receive an order booklet that lists each wine at a discounted price.

In addition to the tasting, a raffle will be held. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit the hospital's mammogram fund.

A major bottle sponsor who will donate one dollar for every bottle ordered is sought for the new Buck a Bottle Program.

Tickets to the event are $25.

For more information and tickets, or to become the Buck a Bottle sponsor, visit the Spirit Shoppe at 29 Grove St. or call the store at 860-354-7712.
