Shelby Wilson, an associate with the Westport law firm Berchem, Moses & Devlin, was a panelist at the mid-year meeting of the American Bar Association's Section of Taxation last month in Boca Raton, Fla.

Wilson was a member of a panel that discussed the topic, "Giving Away the Store: A Primer on Business Succession Planning and Post-Mortem Financing of Tax Liabilities of Estates Holding Closely Held Business Interests." The Jan. 21 presentation covered estate planning issues facing small business owners, including tax and non-tax considerations, transfer techniques and financing estate tax liabilities.

Wilson specializes in tax and trusts and estates law. She is also a lecturer on trusts and estates topics affecting individuals, families and small businesses.
