Senior night isn't only for seniors.

The annual tradition will celebrate more than just the final regular season home game of the seniors' careers Friday when the Danbury High girls basketball team hosts Trumbull at 7 p.m.

The event is also a "Pink Night" to promote cancer awareness and a "Pack the Gym Night" as well. A pink basketball will be used for a ceremonial tip-off and then be raffled off and signed by the players with the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Cheerleaders from St. Gregory the Great School will work in tandem with the DHS cheerleaders. Halftime festivities will feature a grade school basketball game with assistance from members of the Danbury girls freshman and junior varsity teams.
